Aeromexico, Mexico’s global airline, will be expanding its reach in Canada with an increased number of flights starting in December.
The expanded service will kick off on Dec. 1 on the Vancouver and Toronto routes, followed by Montreal on Dec. 2. Service will continue to be operated with the carrier’s 160-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with 16 seats in Clase Premier (Aeromexico’s business class cabin), and 144 in economy.
The expansion, which represents a 47% increase, will allow the carrier to offer the Canadian market more than 9,900 seats per week.
“Canada’s recent announcement to drop visa requirements for Mexicans, and Aeromexico’s interest in responding to the needs of our customers encouraged us to add the new flights to further consolidate the airline’s presence in this North American country,” said Jorge Goytortua, Aeromexico’s Corporate Sales Director. “We know that Mexicans enjoy travelling to Canada, and Canadians are also enticed by the warm weather of Mexico’s beach destinations and its charming colonial cities, which is why we decided to offer our Canadian passengers greater connectivity options to our extensive route network spanning 45 cities across Mexico.”
